eve Mrs. Slaughter was married to Justice of the Peace Jess Slaughter 5th grade 61-62- I don't remember her name but I do recall she let us watch a televised program of a rocket being launched on an old black and white tv. President Kennedy Insisted we beat the USSR in the space race and be the first country to land on the moon.
