Life UPDATE...OCTOBER 2007: Kansas -- LOVE IT, LOVE IT LOVE IT!! Finally got here in March of this year and got to enjoy a snow storm in April. Getting ready to learn true appreciation of Fall colors, cold weather, snow, muddy country roads and another grandbaby (due 1/08). We've never really lived in a 4-season environment and are anxious to 'experience it all'. The locals think we're nuts for that. Working part-time at the local bank in this community of 425, mowing the 5 acres where we reside (that's a part-time job too), and taking tons of pics! Craig travels the gorgeous K-18 (Kansas State Route 18) to Bennington, KS where he teaches vocal music in a school district of 600...didn't know there were really districts this small anymore. There are only 2 houses in this square mile so privacy and quiet are the norm. Our house is surrounded by 300+ acres of cultivated farm land and the freshest air I've ever inhaled! Now that we're settled, I plan to reactivate my parrot rescue which has been 'on hold' for awhile. The 10 parrots, 2 dogs and 1 cat made the transition from AZ to KS just like little troopers....in fact, much better than we did.
