Sandi's Story

Life (2008) Since graduating from college in Indiana, I have been teaching, mostly with special education students. I spent five years teaching in southern Louisiana before moving to Colorado for a year. Since 1988, I have been living in Germany, teaching for the Dept. of Defense Dependent Schools. I'm currently working in Wiesbaden (about 20 miles west of Frankfurt) as a Special Education Assessor. Most of my students have a parent who is in the American army. dren. Daniel is 16, and Melanie is 9. They both attend German schools. We enjoy travelling a great deal in our motor home. We generally fly back to the states for the summer at least every other year. We also try to snow ski in the Alps at least once or twice each winter. It's getting harder as the children get older and have other commitments. Daniel plays goalie on a German soccer team, and is also quarterback for a German "American Football" team. Melanie is more interested in gymnastics/cheerleading.
