Life
***2010***
This has been the most challenging year thus far....
For me, life's most important lesson learned is is this, "There is a balance to everything"....
I now understand the T'ai Chi , Ying/Yang of life...
In November of 2009, I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. After much thought and debate, I decided to forego all conventional treatments and extensively research alternative methods. I am happy to say that after 8 months my primary tumor had diminished by 98% other cancer has stabalized, and remaining spots are believed to be scar tissue. No chemo, no radiation, no surgery... Thanks to my Health Guru Master and teacher,, Tom Tam, I am still here - strong as can be - Miracles do happen!
Spent our summer vacation at Rye Beach NH with my hubby, children, grandson, brother, and his wife... I have traveled far and wide and have been to the most beautiful places in the world, yet ithis vacation was the most memorable...why? Because my children put it together for all of us to create wonderful new memories. together.... I am one lucky woman.
In Feb of 2010, Dave's and my most happiest day- our first grandson Christian was born . In Dec of 2010, Dave's and my saddest and most devastating day- our precious step-grandaughter Sarah, passed away unexpectedly- she was just 6 years old. My heart still aches...
Thank goodness for my grandson Christian, my children Brandon and Tiana, their significant others Jane and Sean, several close family and friends, and especially my husband Dave. Without them I am not sure if I could have made it through this year... I truly believe love transcends all obstacles.
I regret having missed the 35th...but am looking forward to the 40th...
***Looking forward to seeing everyone in 2015 (that's just crazy!) !!! ***
Until then, Blessings to All !!
***2009***
It's already near the end of June, 2010, and I have yet to make an entry of 2009...
First and foremost...
Dave and I are proud to announce that that we will become grandparents next year! (2010) We are so ecstatic...have been waiting a long time for this!
2009 was a very challenging year for us - as I am sure it was for many people. However, I firmly believe "there is a reason for everything".
Did not travel this year, due to the economy. Yes, we stayed put and did a lot of 'stay - cations" Rediscovered our surroundings, which was nice...
Mom is still living with us... Had quite a few visitors during the summer months.Visited the seashore often, and ate my share of lobster -enough to last a lifetime !! (Brown's is definitely better re: Browns vs Marky's debate...)
Visited Salem Ma, a few times, rediscovered 'Salem Willows'... Spent alot of time in Hampton, Rye, and York Beach, Attended the fireworks at Hampton Beach as often as we could - (on the Goldwing, of course ! ) Danced under the stars to the live music at Hampton's Seashell Stage...
Lots of great memories made ...
Our son Brandon became engaged to a ...Expand for more
lovely girl , Jane- She's the perfect match for him ! He also started his own business. We are so proud of him !
Tiana decided to take a year sabbatical (lucky girl !) and is comtemplating a career change. She is still with the love of her life, Sean, and they are currently living in Andover, Ma.
Dave and I celebrated our 30th Anniversary this past June.It was pretty low-key... We took a getaway weekend, and just enjoyed the time spent alone...it was absolutely wonderful !!
We made a vow to each other...for our 35th , we plan to celebrate with a BANG !
I am looking forward to that...
But most of all, Dave and I are looking forward to what 2010 has in store for us !
***2008***
Another year, another entry...
This year I came to realize as you get older, time seems to fly.You really do need to live in the here and now, or life just passes you by.
A few close loved ones have passed on this year. Never take things for granted. It's funny, I read last year's entry and everyone was so healthy and alive.Things have changed it seems, in the blink of an eye.So goes the circle of life...
We almost lost my Mom this past April.Fortunately she pulled through and is now living with Dave and I. I am grateful for each day spent with her.She is such an inspiration to us-so full of life at 88 years old!
We did travel quite a bit this year. 2 1/2 weeks in Orlando Florida, 2 weeks at our property in Paradise Valley Montana, 1 week in Loon Mountain, and I just returned from a 2 week Mother/ Daughter trip with with Tiana at Waikiki Beach, Honolulu, Hawaii. Yes, I am spoiled :-)
Life continues to amaze me. I feel so blessed.
***2007***
My goodness ~ has another year already gone by?!
It just flew by so quickly...
Dave and I are dealing with the infamous "empty nest syndrome". Our baby moved into her own place this past spring,so now we have this huge house all to ourselves -I kind of like it...and that surprises me...hmmm
We did a few short trips this year, since we're still nesting into our new home. Surprisingly, I was hesitant to travel this year (I am enjoying my home so much, that I just hate the thought of leaving it.Strange, huh...) Well, the year isn't over yet, so who knows ? Hopefully, Hawaii will be in the near future.
Everyone is still healthy and strong- (even my 87 year old mother!)I feel so blessed.
Happy Holidays Everyone!!
***2006***
Travel was put on hold this year...
We designed, built, and moved into our "Dream Home", and are absolutely loving it!
Celebrated our 27th Anniversary this past June. (where has the time gone?)
Brandon, our eldest has become partner in the family business, and Tiana, has just begun her career in property management for a large firm.We are so proud of the both of them!
What more can I say...Life just couldn't get any better!!!
**Had a wonderful time at the 30th reunion!**

"You all look marvelous!"
