Sandra's Story
Life
I live in Rockford, Illinois, an hour northwest of Chicago and just a few miles south of Wisconsin. I live with my husband of 15 years (Eric), my son Drew(8 years) and my daughter Erica(5 years). I have been a flight attendant for American Airlines for 13 years and I am based in Chicago. I fly domestically coast to coast and rarely leave the United States. I have no great desire to fly internationally since the events of 9-11. My husband, Eric, is a pilot for United Airlines. When we aren't busy working, we are volunteering for the numerous activites that our children are involved. College
After High School I attended Casper College for two years and then I finished my four year degree at the University of Wyoming. I have a secondary education degree and spent the three years after College teaching junior high and high school in both Texas and Idaho. I started my Masters in education while in Boise, Idaho but didn't complete the program after I moved to Illinois. Instead, I set off to see the world from the view of 35,000 feet.
Workplace
After College I taught seventh grade at an inner city school in Dallas, Texas. The following year, I taught English in Meridian Idaho. After three years of teaching, I went to work for American Airlines.
