Sandra's Story
Life
Well a lot has happened since 1986. I have my B.A. in Biology from Wittenberg Univ (Springfield, OH) and M.S. in Environmental Science from Univ. of Cinncinnati.
I joined a company, Radian (in Austin, TX), right after grad school and worked with them for 11+ years. It was an adventure. I lived in Austin, TX for 4 years (with temporary living quarters in Sacramento, CA and Anchorage, AK). The job has allowed me numerous travel opportunities (TX, AK, NM, CA, VA, SC, NJ, CT, PA, AL, UT and South Korea) working on Air Force and Navy Bases, gas pipe lines and power plants. The environmental work was a lot of fun...played in the dirt and water for a living!
In 1997 I accepted...Expand for more
a transfer to Raleigh, NC office where I contracted out/on-site with a pharmaceutical firm and then switched back to the enviornmental work.
In 1999 I bought a house in Wake Forest, NC (right outside of Raleigh).
In 2003 I switched jobs/careers and started working for the federal government. In 2004 I moved to Detroit, Michigan (okay, not living in Detroit, but working there) with a job transfer. It is nice to be back within a short driving distance to West Jeff.
For fun, I travel (Germany, NYC, Cancun, Bahamas, Texas), SCUBA, roller-blade, refinish antiques, and generally have a good time. Love a good micro-brew. Love spending time with my nephew Nick and my niece Grace.
