Sandra's Story
Oh, that was written a while back. The dogs are 13 and 5; we're down to 3 cats; we're up to 3 daughters (7, 5, 2.5); the poultry are long gone as we moved into the city 2 years ago; the ancient pet sheep are boarded at another farm.
Original story circa 2004:
After college and travelling (I'm a former Army-brat. I still have itchy feet.), I've settled down on a small farm with my husband, our two young daughters, 2 large dogs, 5 cats (plus f...Expand for more
erals), 2 sheep, 200 chickens, 23 ducks and 7 geese. I sell eggs at a farmers' market - it earns enough money to support my "pets". Husband works off-farm and I'll probably rejoin the workforce when the kids are a bit older. In my spare time I'm researching our geneology, changing more diapers than you can shake a stick at, vetting poultry, trying to teach old (well, 8 year old) dogs new tricks, and doing a little gardening and needlecraft.
