I didn't realize the profile thing was a bunch of pre-selected choices...so here I am....
After living in San Francisco for 25 years I retired last year and my husband and I bought a place in rural South-Central Washington. A bit of a cultural adjustment, but we're enjoying it here a lot. s first a gardener and then a supervisor. Before that I did various horticultural jobs and before that I tended bar downtown for nine years. I miss the city a lot, but it feels right to be back in the country.
I'm still a die-hard liberal feminist, which can be challenging in rural Washington. There haven't been any burning crosses left in the yard yet, though, so I guess the town is accepting me. Well...they don't know everything about me yet. We'll see.
