Sandra's Story

Life I am married for the second time to a wonderful man I have been with for twelve years. I have four children, three who attend the same college I do. They always say that the family who eats together is closer. I have news, there is no way to get closer than the study groups with kids and classmates. My oldest son is a biology major, my daughter is a business major, her fiance is a computer major, my youngest son is an engineering major. My middle son is content to make me a grandmother this year. We live in the country in Tennessee with 3 cats and five dogs on five acres full of trees. It almost feels like home again. School I did not end up where I thought I would when I left school. I never thought I would be a nurse or a teacher or return to college for a Master's Degree when I turned 40. tending college with my kids, who are a great bunch. Nor did I ever think that the only person from high school I would keep in touch with was the same person who broke up with me on my fifteenth birthday, but that's life! I truly love my profession and I love my life the way it is right now. Workplace Currently I am working as a Critical Care Nurse at Select Specialty Hospital where I have been for five years. I am also the tutor in the biology open labs at Volunteer State Community College while pursuing my Master's Degree. So to add to the story. Two of my dogs are now gone (old age) and my cat (also old age). I now have 3 dogs, 2 mules and 2 horses. Still work at the same place, but am now head of the wound care team and thoroughly enjoying my life with my grandchildren, and my husband. I could not have asked for a better companion!
