Sandra's Story
My story is pretty simple...married with 3 kids. I have spent my adult life trying to go to college and I still haven't graduated. But that's okay because I want my children to have what they need first. I don't work right now unless you call writing work. I enjoy writing as much as reading and movies. I haven't changed much over the years. I'm still a dork, and proud of it.
My oldest son is now a Senior and will graduate in May of 08 and he has a full time job. My daughter is a freshman this year and runs track. My youngest son is in 5th grade and plays the drums and loves music. My oldest plays the Alto Sax in the school band. I am proud of all of them.
My husband is an electrician and works for a construction company out of Abilene. He is a pretty awesome guy. We have been married for 7 years now. He's a great step-dad to my kids. We live in Baird, TX and have for the last 6 years.
I have 2 dogs named Chewey and Copper. I recently lost my cat and my bird. My dogs are like my kids too. And they are more spoiled than my kids I think.
I wish I could say that I have done some amazing things but honestly, my life has been pretty ordinary. I spent a few years in the Air Force and lived in Colorado, North Dakota, and California. I've visited quite a f...Expand for more
ew other states and Canada. Otherwise I never left the country. I worked on the offensive radar systems on the B-1 Bomber.
I have held many jobs and lived in many places. But I have to say that my job and my home now is the best I've ever had. I still have hopes and dreams but they are pretty much on hold until my kids are all grown.
My parents still live in Anson. Mom is a banker now and Dad works for the county. They are doing very well. My sister, Deonna, has three daughters, a granddaughter and a grandson. She lives in Graham right now. She is also doing well.
I don't think about my years in high school much but when I do I remember them fondly. There are some things I miss, like not having so much responsibility and being a kid, but at the same time I don't. We all had our fun in school doing the things we did. I would like to think I've grown alot since then. I was never popular in school and I guess I am still pretty much a loner. But it's different now.
I will say that I wonder sometimes where everyone has wound up. I have heard from some of you. I hope that we have a reunion eventually so that we can all get together again. I would really like to see everyone. It would be nice to catch up. Anyway, that's my boring story. Enjoy.
