Stephanie's Story
Stephanie is from Washington, District of Columbia. Her schools include Westside High School, Evans Middle School, Hephzibah Middle School, Evans High School, Gracewood Elementary School, Lakeside High School, Robert E. Lee Junior High School, Tutt Middle School. She later attended Aiken Technical College (Phlebotomy). She works(ed) at Jared Padalecki Aka Sam Winchester.

My life has been far
from perfect. I was diagnosed with Multiple Schlerosis at the beginning of 2000. Many surgeries (a few were
botched) was in a
coma, paralyzed &
lived in hospitals for
about 2 years on/off. I
have an amazing support system..they
have helped me overcome (beat) all of these things. Family is very important to me. I
cherish my friends,
majority of them have
been by my side for
20+ I don't know how they put up with me,
but they have, and I love them for it. My
friends are my "other
family". I have no
children of my own, but
I have "my heart" (nephew) I have a lot of
God-Children. I h...Expand for more

twin brother, and I just
now found my 2 brothers this past
November 2011, (now I just need to find my sister) I have been searching for them for since I was 14. I found out that I have some
more nephews! After contact with them I
found out they have
been looking for me.
Another dream come
true...my first dream that came true was
seeing Rascal Flatts in
concert, that dream
came true this past July 2011. If all goes according to plan I
will be in my own
place no later than
February/March 2012.
I never gave up on my dreams, even though there was plenty of times I wanted to. The recovery after the botched/complications of my Gastric Bypass in 2006, I wanted to throw in the towel, especially with the paralysis. The thing that made me fight it and not let it beat me was my 10yr High School Reunion. I left/graduated walking & I was determined to walk into my reunion, no wheelchair, walker, not even a cane....and you know what...I did it! I still have obstacles ahead of me, but I know I will overcome/beat them as well. I wouldn't have been able to do w/o the support system I've had behind...my family-no matter how far they are...my friends who I am truly lucky to have in my life are amazing! Even though we are all in different areas (some are in other countries) and have our own lives, they always let me know they are there for me. I still haven't found my prince, but I know he is out there & will find him or he will find me when the time is right! So, don't stop or give up on your dreams, you can accomplish them, also they may not happen the way you wanted, but that at times is a blessing in disguise.
