Sandra's Story
Life
Hi everyone,
We lived in Temple City from 1968 until summer of 1974. We moved to Barstow CA our Senior Year 74-75. Small town, only had two traffic lights when we arrived, now there is a few dozen (crowd control). Our rush hour last about twenty minutes! That alone is worth staying around for. I have been here for 33 years now and can honestly call it home. My mom still lives here five minutes from us (on the other side of town) my living brothers Brad and Bryan moved on. Brad (Barstow Class of 1979) is in Bend Oregon and Bryan (TC Class of 72) is in Boulder City NV. Our oldest brother Phil (TC Class of 70) died in 1977. I have been happily remarried for the past 20 years to my best friend. We enjoy our four kids (3 girls, 1 boy) and 10 grandchildren (8 boys, 2 girls) they light up our lives. We also enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, old movies, occasionally dancing to a good rock-n-roll band. I work at the Goldstone Deep...Expand for more
Space Communication Complex known as Part of the DSN, owned by NASA and operated by JPL and contracted by ITT. I am looking forward to retiring to spend our days moving about the country in our retirement home that is sitting in the driveway waiting for me. I would love to get together with some classmates. I had lunch with Stacey Clark a few years ago, it was great seeing her. I resently was contacted by Helen Losee (moved our sophomore year), I will be calling her soon. I enjoy keeping up with Carol Gardner, Karen Collison and Teri Bauman. Would like to find Debbe LaCorte. These are the friends from Reno Ave that we walked to and from school with every day. I went back to the old neighborhood last summer. Only found Teri Bauman's Step-mom at home. The LaCorte houses had been sold eight years ago, no sign of Debbie.
I love you guys, took me along time to adjust to Barstow after being in Temple City! Great place to be from.
