Sandra's Story
Life
I graduated from UNC-CH. I did sociology and music there, and then stayed on in Chapel Hill with my son for about 10 years (while catching up on my adolescence, unfortunately).
I now live in Devon, England (and have done for over 25 years) My lovely husband Chris and I have been married for 27 years. My son Jac is now 40 years old, and he and his wife, Jane, are great. I'm fortunate to have them as my friends. I am a primary teacher and delight in being with children.
I enjoy music - especially singing - classical art songs, folk/rock, worship music, choral music, whatever. I play guitar, keyboards, and flute (non...Expand for more
e of them very well). I finally buckled down and got a Performance Certificate in Voice from The London Guildhall of Music. I enjoy singing both classical and contemporary songs. I have written a few songs myself, which I hope to do more of now that I'm retired.
Reading (mainly fiction and theology), cats, cycling (or riding a bike as we say in the states), walking in the countryside, going to plays in London and travelling are some of the things I like best.
I get involved in the myriad things that go on in village life.
Jesus is my friend and saviour and I love him. I'm learning to love others too. Just as well!
