Life
I am the parent to 3 sons, 2 have Fragile X Syndrome, the MOST common cause of inherited mental retardation. They are great sons, on the higher scale of MR and both work. My son that is not affected is a machinist, having worked in human Services for about 5 years. t the Dept of Public Haelth as the Parent Coordinator for Family TIES, a grass roots organization that helps families with a family member that has a disability get the services and information they need. I am also facilitating the only support group in MA for families who have a family member with FX. I am the National and MA contact parent for National Fragile X Foundation and Fraxa Research.
