Sandra's Story
Sandra is from Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Sandra's schools include Lowrey High School. Sandra later attended University of Chicago (Political Science). Sandra works(ed) at Retired.

The above old profile is a little sparse, although true. As to who I was in high school I was a cheerleader and a good student.
After high school, I attended Michigan State University for one year then transferred to The University of Chicago (wanting a little more intellectual stimulation). I graduated from there and spent a total of nine years in Chicago. I still love that city. Then my husband (now my ex-) got a job in New York City and I lived there (in Manhattan) for
35 years. My career was in textbook publishing. After I retired, I moved to Pittsfield, MA., a country town close to the New York state border. This area is called the "Berkshires" and has rolling hills. I live in a house on a small river at the edge of town. (It's about a 3 hour drive to NYC and a 2 1/2 hour drive to Boston.) Never re-married, never had children. Just dogs.

cago and New York were attending the ballet and opera and some theatre. (In those cities I also studied ballet for about 15 years.) I also became interested in antiques and dogs. I love them both. I still read a lot.
In this part of Massachsetts, there is not much ballet or opera, but it has a lively summer stock venue. So I go to the theatre more (its surprisingly good) and the Boston Symphony has their summer performances here at Tanglewood.
Another of my interests since I moved to the Northeast has been architecture. I have restored two Victorian homes and now live in the second one. Also its one of my main interests when traveling, which I can't do too much anymore. (I have traveled to Europe and Russia a number ofl times, and once to the Far East.)
I started having dogs again when I was 50. I'm on my fourth one now. I'm partial to Westies. I bought my first one as a puppy, but now adopt dogs from shelters.
I'm still well, although a little unsteady on my pins.
