Sandra's Story
Life
I was happily married to Rick Gilbert for over 50 years. Sadly Rick passed away Jan 6, 2021 after a lengthy illness. We have 3 boys and 10 grandchildren. Over the years we moved around a lot but now I live in Manteca, CA. We spent most of our weekends relaxing and going to thrift shops looking for clocks and teddy bears. Over the years I have stayed in touch with Cathy Goldberg, and we finally found our old friend Sue Schiller. Hope to hear from old classmates; it's nice to reminisce about the good old times.

igh school, I got married and had a baby. Went to work as a waitress part-time. Since I had 3 boys by the time I was 25 years old, I was fortunate enough to be an at home mom. I worked occasionally as a waitress but decided that was not what I wanted to do the rest of my life so I went to night classes at the community college and my last job before I retired was working in the accounting department of a large organic & natural products distributor in Rocklin, CA as an accounts payable check processor lead. I loved my job but I love retirement better.
