Life So I never did finish out my time at SHHS, having left in my Junior year, but I always thought back on my years there and the people that I knew. I ran away from home and traveled across the country, mainly hitchhiking and getting rides from truckers until I met one who actually spent time to teach me how to drive and load, and I did that for about a year until I came back home and "turned myself in" to the juvenile authorities. I went back to school in an accelerated program and ended up getting my diploma in late 1977. I left home again soon after that and did more rambling around until I decided to join the Army in 1979. I spent 4 years in there as a radio operator and a truck driver, then moved on at the end of my term.
