By 1965 I was a very sick child so school wias something that I rarely attended but when I did have the chance to go, I enjoyed it I tried to fit in.. racism was very much a part of my childhood. I found it hard to play with a lot of the kids, because of my skin color. a few friends I remember felt like me, and we kind of stuck together. by the time I got to junior high school which was Bell Gardens junior high in 1970 I still was in a position of barely getting to school. I started taking some of my friends with me, which wasn’t cool, we would hang out at the JNS hamburgers stand we had hamburgers and french fries and drink sodas until the bell ring head back towards the school, but after Bell Gardens high school, I attended Bell High for a very short time and then I went to Alhambra high school also for a very short time I ended up at “ Teen Mothers” in Alhambra, which means I was pregnant and went to school with other pregnant young teenagers And our babies they would go to school with us after they were born. I like that school teen mothers. I think it was the only school I never ditched ha ha it’s because the bus pick me up:) after teen mothers, I went to century continuation in Alhambra I attended that school and really liked it, I had fun because it was a continuation so we were all a bunch of “MeessUps And I stayed there until I was too old to be there.lol They kicked me out and said you’re 18 now go to night school so I never went. I ended going to cosmetology school and becoming a cosmetologist that ended now I’m 67 years old, and I am an artist , I’m also a widow and a mother of three children. My oldest child is 50 years old. Can you believe that tells you where I was at when I was 17 anyways, if you guys remember me why don’t you just send me a message I’d love to hear from you , thanks.
