Sandy's Story
Life
My life has been pretty interesting. I have traveled a great deal. I have visited 3 foreign countries. I relocated to Texas for 11 years, then I relocated to South Carolina for 3 years. An illness in my imediate family brought me back to West "By God" Virginia. There really is no place like home. I have two children (a daughter and a son) who are now grown. I am also a grandmother for the first time, woo-hoo!! I love being a grandmother. My grandson was born in Honolulu, Hawaii where my daughter was stationed in the Navy. She just recently completed her tour of duty and is now back in WV, again. My son is currently in Iraq as a Combat Engineer with the Army Corp of Engineers. He is out on dangerous missions most of the time and I worry about him but trust his training will keep him safe and bring him home again. I am divorced but dating. So far, nothing too serious. I work for the postal service and get blamed everytime the price of postage goes up...haha!! I own my own home and that is a great feeling for a single woman. I'...Expand for more
ve learned I CAN repair things if I have too! LOL! I love the outdoors and have spent a lot of time lately on the river fishing or boating. I took scuba diving lessons a few years back and that was a lot of fun. I just enjoy being on or near the water. I have kept in touch with several classmates for the last so many years since graduation and they are truly good friends. I live in Sissonville, WV across a mountain called Buzzard Rock! LOL! Hopefully, I will get to learn more about all of my old high school friends and acquaintances.
School
I went to 11 different schools in several states before I attended high school. I believe that was partly the reason I was so shy in high school. I didn't have the chance to grow up with childhood friends This is probably one of the biggest regrets I have in my adult life. I am, however, greatful for the friends that took time to get to know me and help me along in strange new environments. For those of you who befriended me along the way and may read this some day, I just want to say THANK YOU!!
