Sandy Allison:  

Sandra (Sandy) Allison was born in the southern Missouri Ozarks, near Rolla, Missouri. This was a very undeveloped area of mostly small rural communities. Sandy grew up watching her father run and manage several local businesses while also helping others learn how to develop and grow their own entrepreneurial abilities and undertakings. He instilled in her a genuine caring about people and communities; a love of creating and improving products and services and a drive to achieve higher standards. She also claimed her father¿s motto for her own and maintains that she has never met a stranger. Upon raising her children to college age, Sandy returned to school with her oldest son and graduated Cum Laude with degrees in History & Government, Management, Business, Psychology from Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri. She then decided to pursue a career in Economic and Community Development. She received her Economic Developer Certification (CEcD) from the University of Oklahoma and has extensive specialized training from organizations such as the Sirolli Institute (Enterprise Facilitation) and the Kauffman Foundation (Entrepreneurial Effect). Sandra has worked with several regional commissions as well as local cities and county governments in Missouri and Kansas in her nearly twenty year career as a director of Economic Development.
