Sandy's Story
Life
Ended up divorced, raising a daughter on my own, continuing my education and got an MBA a bit later; was a management consultant and doing well but left to move to Sunshine Coast as my mother aged. Stayed here after she passed away. I love it here. I am now a grandmother of three (still can't believe that!) After many years of volunteering I took on a part-time (ya, right) job; might as well get paid. I recently decided I was working way too many hours for far too little pay so I am on contract now and doing some consulting. I like the slower pace. I am not too happy being at this age - are you? I don't have the same energy and acuity as before! I do love life though and everyday has something beautiful and lovely to embrace!

llow lab puppy. What was I thinking? Rooney is a very active boy but that has been good for me. Maureen (Davis) Ward, who moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2018, walks the beach with us almost every day. Rooney is absolute nuts over her (I think he equates ball throwing with her) and chases any white haired lady he sees. I laugh every day and get a cuddle every evening so it was a good decision - -right?
My Kid

My Job
I was the Executive Director for Sunshine Coast Community Foundation in what I thought was a swan song job but I am still working on contract here and there.
My Partner
I am on my own.... happily :-)
