Sandy's Story
Life
I am very happily married with four kids, Jessica (graduated from Louisiana State University - double major: Accounting and French w/concentration in International Business, finishing her masters in Accounting at UT-Austin and leaves Sept. 1 for Paris where she will study at ESCP-EAP for a masters in Business Management), Josh (active duty Coast Guard currently stationed in Marathon, FL), Jeremy (junior at Baker High School) and Timothy (8th grade).
I teach Cisco computer networking and A+ computer repair at Baker High School in Mobile, AL. I also teach at ITT Technical Institute as an adjunct instructor. I am finishing my masters in Educational Technology Leadership at Northwestern State University. My husband TJ works for Northrop Grumman Ship Systems where they build ships for the Navy.
I have participated twice in the past two years with Training which is a fundraising program for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I ran the Disney Marathon in January 2007 and the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco in October 2007. I ran both of those mar...Expand for more
athons with my daughter Jessica. I also ran the Country Music Marathon in April 2007 and the First Annual Breast Cancer Marathon in Jacksonville, FL in February 2008. I have also run 4 Half-marathons with the most recent being the Indy Mini-Marathon in Indianapolis in May 2008.
I am a breast cancer survivor and do a lot of fundraising/public awareness activities for all types of cancer. I have been on the committee for and have had team in the West Mobile Relay for Life for the past four years. I also raise money for breast cancer by sponsoring a Denim Day each year at my high school.

Workplace
I teach Cisco computer networking and computer repair courses to prepare students for the CCNA and A+ exams. I am also the Technology Support person for my high school. I provide all hardware, software, and network support as well as technology training for over 500 computers and over 100 faculty and staff.
