Sandy's Story
Life
I have been living in McLean, Virginia since 1971 - but went to Iran to work at the American Embassy from 1973 to 1975. While there, I met my husband, Bob, who is from northern Maine....like right on the Canadian border in a town called Frenchville. Once back to Virginia we had two children, Kris who will be 30 this year (hard to believe). He owns a house in Falls Church, Va (not far from us) and works close by at a firm called Switch and Data. Andrea (27) moved to Anchorage, Alaska a few years ago after graduating from Radford University. She bought a house and works for Lockheed Martin...and loves the Alaskan outdoors in winter and summer!

there by the end of 2008...I can't wait! My mom, sister and I are avid quilters so I am anxious to be near them and absorb their creativity. Bob enjoys being on the river and snow machines. The last two winters while we were in Fairbanks we even tried curling. I have determined that I am better at watching!!
Two years ago I retired from the Arlington County School System where I was in charge of administrative technology training. I still help out with database development as needed, but mostly am at home trying to get rid of 32 years of "stuff", so we can sell our house and move!
Bob retired from the Government in 2000 and now works for a consulting firm - and on the extensive "honey-do" list here at home!
2008 - relocated to Fairbanks, Alaska and am loving it!!
