Sandy's Story
I left Troy in 1974, wasted the next two years of my life, but by the grace of God, a stranger led me to Christ in a McDonalds in Norfolk, VA in 1976, which changed my life, delivering me from drugs, cigarettes, alcohol, and more importantly, my self destructiveness. I joined the navy in 1976 and met my husband, a marine at the time, in a Bible study I was teaching on a navy base in Virginia in 1978. We married six weeks later and have been married for 34 years in September.
I have been blessed with four wonderful kids, 2 boys, 2 girls, 8 grand kids with more on the way. I currently teach history online at Liberty University. My husband retired as a LTC in the Army Reserves and recently retired from his civilian job with the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

I have been to London, Cambridge, Paris, Rome, Glasgow and a few seaside towns in Wales. I have lived in NY (Troy), MD (Aberdeen), VA (VA. Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth and Alexandria) NC (Moyock), SC (Ridgeland), IL (Herrin), TN (Nashville), OR (Sheridan), CA (San Diego), FL (Orlando), and my current home in MO (KC and St. Louis).
I have taught K-University and currently teach a Bible study for college and career students as well as a women's Bible study. Of all the jobs I have had, being a mom has been the most difficult and most rewarding. Teaching follows a distant second.
I often think of my former school mates with great fondness and would love to catch up with what they are doing now, so please feel free to contact me so we can catch up on life! :)
