Sandy's Story
Life
I moved to Houston after graduating from UW-Whitewater in '82. Worked in the inner-city. WOW! Did MY blue eyes stick out in a crowd! I sure learned a lot.
Moved to Spring, TX in 1986 after marrying Randy in 1984. With few family members being nearby (Randy from CA), we decided to try to get jobs in WI. Never in a million years, would I figure I'd be next door to Whitewater again. It was the perfect distance from Greenfield, as we'd go to my parents' house often. I've been teaching in Fort Atkinson ever since our move in Aug of '88.
I teach 6th grade math (not a typo... I DID say math!)at Fort Atkinson Middle School. I'm confident in my ability to teach well. It's fun most days. I mean, when I had math "issues" all through school... I believe that's my edge over my colleagues. They've also "gotten it." I'm so happy our girls were able to absorb math. Neither have had any difficulty with multiple upper-level/AP math classes.
I also work for Weight Watchers as a leader. I currently run 3 meetings in this area. (That's why the picture with the Duchess. That was f...Expand for more

Nicolle arrived in Sept of '87. She graduated in the Top 20 of her HS class, and is now attending UW-Whitewater (living in my old dorm--WEIRD!) She is majoring in Math Science(math geek).
Alyssa was born in April of '91. She,too, is in the Top 20 of her class. She attends Fort HS. (Class size here is always around 200.)Al is on the swim and soccer teams. She is always anxious for the next season to start. Alyssa is planning on attending UW-Whitewater in Fall of 2009, and wants to work with the environment.
We have a puppy, Tucker. He's a Bulloxer.
Shortly after my parents passed away, I started collecting cats. We now have a herd of 5--Isabelle, Roscoe, Murphy and Dexter and Wilson. (REALLY weird!) Not quite the cat lady yet!
I still knit, yet spend most of my spare time doing junk for Weight Watchers. Yah... school is in there, too--it's just not as fun.
I cannot believe I'm as old as my chronological age says. I don't believe I act old. I believe it's a state of mind... most days... if I remember yesterday... what was I talking about?
