Sandy's Story
Life
I was born and raised in Cobleskill, graduated in 1977,married my high school sweetheart in 1979, our daughter was born in 1983, and our son was born in 1996, and yes, God does have a sense of humor.....lol! We divorced after 24 years of marriage. Believe it or not I have lived all of my 47 years in Schoharie county. I don't own a home, or a new car.......and yet today I can honestly say I am happy. I am enjoying life,,I have two beautiful children whom I'm very proud of and whom I love very much. I love my job, and I like the person I have become.I lived in Middleburgh for a year and I am now back in Cobleskill. My outlook on life is "live well, love much, laugh often", and at the end of each day I sit back and reflect on the events of the day. I have found that a good day is one in which I have shared a laugh, or a smile with someone, those moments are special to me. And of course any day that I have the chance to dance is a good day! The simple things in life!
Workplace
My first job was while I was still in high school, I remember having my job interview...Expand for more
on a concrete slab with a roof overhead,,,,the birth of McDonald's,,,,I really enjoyed it!,,,,after I married for some reason,,,,not really sure why,,,I changed jobs and worked at the hospital. After 4 years of marriage our daughter was born. I then became a stay at home mom until she started school. I then took on house cleaning jobs so I could be home when she was. Thirteen years later,,,,lol,,,,,,,our son was born,,no accident just a wonderful surprise,,,,,,.In 2003,,,I think it was,,lol,,,,this date I should know,,,my husband and I divorced. It was now time for me to get back in the work force,,,,,my first choice was,,can you guess,,,back to McDonald's. I am now a shift manager there and I'm lovin it. I guess I will always be a McDonald's girl and thats ok too,or perhaps not(she shrugs). I enjoy my work,,it has given me the opportunity to meet some wonderful people,,and from time to time I have the pleasure of seeing some of our classmates. I'm not sure what the future holds for me..but I try to live by these words,,,,"live well, love much, and laugh often.
