SPORTS, TRU TV, NEWS, DOCUMENTARIES.
THEY ALL HAVE UNIQUE DIFFERENCES. FRIENDLY, GIVING AND LOVE LIFE.
TO BE TRULY HAPPY, I wish I lived near the ocean, soaking up some rays, and reading. With my husband, 3 dogs and a cat.
My current age is 76. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be happy as I am. I have written letters for many years, to people in the news. I write between 10-20 cards a day. I make my own cards from Hallmark. I started this at the age of 12, got it from my dad. Took a few years off raising our children, but back at it again. I love to try and comfort people in need.Over the years I have becaome very close to a lot of people who had written back to me. I find it enjoying and satisfying part of my life.
I want to continue on with my letter writing, which really is a lost art.I hope my children, grand and great grandkids might be interested in this project with me.
I hope my friends remember me for being true to our friendships, wit, sillyness, and fun with all I am around.
I always wanted to be a Reporter when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea idea. As it turns out, they were wrong!!!.
I blow off steam by fixing myself a nice big Gin Martini,, and then that seems to take care of everything. ha ha
My girlfriend Barbara Pearce, her boyfriend Peter Bren, my boyfriend Lee Gale and I went to a dance at Emerson Jr. High School. THe BOYS took a case of Coca Cola, and put it in the back of Peter Bren's oupe. We drove up into Bel Air, opened the trunk, took out a couple of bottle to drink and they fizzed all iover us, rolling around in the back of the trunk!!!
I was born in Granite City, IL, and moved to West LA in 1945. With just 6 months of Uni left before graduating, we moved to Pomona. I went to school until January, they transferred my credits to Uni. I missed the first 2 days of Junior College, at Mount San Antonio College, in Walnut, near Pomona. We moved from Pomona in 1974, my husband Bud Kilgore and kids, to Carson City, Nevada, Have lived here ever since, love it here..
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Gene DiFiore, because I was so in love with him at Uni..
I love all sports except Hockey, have no idea where the PUCK IS.....
My first crush was at Emerson Jr. High School in the 7th grade and his name was Asa Duff.......cute and blond
At our 50th reunion in Ojai, everyone thought I looked pretty good, which made me feel so good.
My first job was on Christmas Break at J.C...Expand for more
. Penneys, in Westwood Village. I told them I was 15 and got a saleman job . haha I didn't know I had to stay in just one sectiion of the store, and I waited on everyone, and had the Accounting Dept all screwed up. ha ha I didn't know there were rules like that. hee hee
I also gift wrapped a bunch of gifts for one gentleman, and the manager asked me where I got the paper. I told him in that little room!!! That little room was for the window decorations only. ha ha
I think he would have pulled his hair out, but he was bald!!! They did tell me at the end of the 2 weeks, it was quite an experience working with me. ha ha
I even sold Esther Williams shoes for her boys......
I have never forgetten that experience.
I have so many memories that were so great, it is hard to know where to start. I must admit meeting some of the kids in Jr. High and Uni, that were in movies, or their parent's were made me star struck. I did date Doug McClure during high school. Now that was a memory I will never forget!!!
A lot of my memories I followed the STORY WIZARD, and they posed suggestions, etc. So if you get confused, not to worry, I talk the same way I write. ha ha
The other person from my past who I'd most like to see again is RODGER MAUS, because I went to University High School in West Los Angeles CA. He graduated in 1950, and I graduated in 1952. I had a terrible crush on him, and I do believe he liked me too. However we never dated. He was so good looking, and such a gentleman..
I love sports, especially Football. When my husband asked me when we started dating, if I liked Hockey. I said I'm not sure. I had only seen 1 hockey game in West L.A. when they played at the Sonia Heney Skating Palace. I asked where are they playing, and he said in San Jose. CA. Aha, that meant a trip!!!! I immediately told him I LOVE HOCKEY. HEE HEE However, I don't understand it, and I'm always asking him WHERE IN THE HECK IT THE PUCK!!!! HA HA
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel MY LIVING ROOM and add on a LONG BAR!!. My dream home would be somewhere in town, we live on an acre right now. The front yard is beautiful, lots of trees, the back yard is desert!!!.
They are sweet and loving, and have becaome professionals in their lives. I married at 20, and became a PROFESSIONAL MOM, ha ha
I always wanted to be a reporter when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right in a way..
I always wanted to be a Report/FBI agent when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a insane idea. As it turns out, they were right!!!.
