Sandy's Story
Life
Just a brief update on the last 20+ yrs since graduation.
I worked at Moberly Tool & Die (Orscheln) for 11 yrs as a Secretary/office adm., then in 1994-1998 I worked as a manager of a clothing store/T-shirt design shop. In 1998 I started my own business, MCA-Macon Internet, where I do web design/hosting. I also tutor a young lady with CP 4 days a week during the school year, and twice a week in the summer.
I met my husband at work and we began dating in 1985. We were married in 1988. We have no kids. We have been to all 50 states and to Canada twice. I have also been to Australia (wonderful country!)I love to travel.
I still bowl in Moberly once a week, play softball, tennis, and run. I rollerblade when possible, and work out at the YMCA. (Where I also work part time at the front desk and as a Fitness Trainer).
I became a christian in 1988, and am active in my church. So some of my interests are the same as in highschool (sports) while other parts of my life have changed (for the better!).
I look forward to hearing from my fellow classmates, or anyone that went to MHS!
School
I liked many of my teachers, but my all time favorite is proba...Expand for more
bly Mrs. Hollenbeck in PE. She is the only one that would call me "Cassandra", so I would answer "yes Diane?".
I have many memories of MHS, some good (sports, clubs, friends), some not so good (the loss of my mom my senior year, Mark getting killed the same year, the parties that at the time I thought were fun, but paid for it the next day). Would I do it all over again? No way..I would study more, party less, and worry less about what others think (but then I wouldn't have been a normal teenager I guess!) I guess it all made me who I am today though, so changing it would make me a different person, and I am ok with who I am now :)
The friends I made in High School will stay with me always. Even though we are miles apart, many of you are still in my heart.
Workplace
I love owning my own business. I set my hours, and am my own boss. I love computers and people, so combining them into a business was a natural thing to do. I enjoy helping people learn things about computers/the Internet. It's a very rewarding business.
I also enjoy working at my local YMCA. The people are wonderful, and the atmosphere is exactly what I like being around..health and sports.
