Santa's Story
Life
Ms. Street, my 5th and 6th grade math teacher (Brewer Elem.) inspired me in math. Mr. Richardson-7th grade and Mr. Gonzales-8th grade (Rhodes Jr. High) also inspired me in math.
Mrs. Carter in 12th grade (Lanier H.S.) inspired me in English and literature. The craziest momments were during Drafting class with Mr. Rodriguez, we learned, we joked, we planned talent shows, made/sold t-shirts and flags for color week and most of all we made each other laugh and at times we disagreed but we always got along, like a family. Mr. Rodriguez gave us good advise and gave us many experiences.
In college, Dr. Murphy and Mr. Delgado inspired me at San Antonio College while working on my Associates in Engineering Technology (AAS).
Dr. Jones and Dr. De Oliver inspired me at UTSA while working on my Bachelors degree in Geograpy. Ms. Crum opened my eyes to GIS and Dr. Houston taught me about planning, my latest passion.
Dr. Fred Shelley (Fall 2003) inspired me at Texas State University (at San Marcos) in graduate school (still working on it), one of the kindest persons I have ever met.

I have a Bachelors degree from UTSA in Geography with emphasis in urban planning and physical and regional geography. I attended night school for 2 1/2 to 3 years while working full time and raising a family.
I started graduate work in 2003 but stopped for about a year, plan to continue in the fall of 2005.
[I also already had a AAS [Associates in Engineering Technoloty) from SAC since 1983]
Workplace
I have worked part-time at a mapping company (during my senior year at Lanier H.S. in 1979-1980) and part-time while attending college (SAC)(1980-1983). I worked there full-time since summer of 1983 thru 1984.
I worked for the CIty of SA from 1984 to 1992 in drafting and as an Engineering Tech.
I've been working for the SA Water System from 1992 to present as an Engineering Tech, and now as a Planner.
