I'm teaching middle school language arts (and desperately wishing I was teaching American History instead). The world's worst 4-letter word? FCAT! I miss teaching content instead of teaching the test!!

He gave us quite a scare by spending 5 weeks in the hospital last summer, but he's much better now. I'm very proud of him, and he's taught me a great deal about patience & hard work in the face of adversity. Go Ben!
I'm spending some time writing when I can, and I hope to start a career as a full-time writer within the next few years. Wish me luck!
