Sara's Story
Life
My life Bio? Started school in Darien at Holmes School-then Middlesex Middle School and then at end of Soph/yr I married and began my life as a mother to Christopher Robert Kofalk/Mannion.
He is my pride and joy and biggest success.
I became Mrs. Michael B. Mannion in 1969 and lived outside Chicago for a while until leaving with my military husband to far corners of the world..where ever special forces carried him. I think we had 13 moves in our 13 years together but they were interesting years to say the least.
In 1981 I moved to Washington DC , met Pete Joiner and was married
twenty two years ago this month.
I ended a career at hospitals and doctors offices that began at Norwalk Hospital and ended here in Clermont, Florida and embarked on a new field-catering. I started Cruisin' Cuisine Catering in 1996 that went from a small lunch delivery to a major concern doing wedd...Expand for more
ings, golf tournaments etc.
This is a hectic and busy career so my husband retired in 1997 and joined my staff and its been a whirlwind ever since.
For the last nine years we have stopped in the summer and spend three months in Scotland. We live on the Isle of Arran where the deer roam freely into our village and hike the beautiful hills.
Christopher lives in Japan and is a lt.Commander in the Navy - happily married to Adriana. No grand children to date.
Between catering gigs we feed 400 people weekly at Loaves and Fishes an
outshoot of a ministry begun by Pete and I twenty years ago feeding the poor and elderly on holidays. Each Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter we feed over 2000 people. Do we like to cook or what!
Life is good. God is good. I hope all of my classmates are as happy and healthy as I am. God bless the class of 1964 DHS. Have a great reunion in October.
