Sara's Story
Life
After high school, I attended the Maine College of Art and focussed mostly on sculpture and printmaking. I graduated in 2002 with a BFA in Printmaking. I also took an archaeology class at USM and spent a summer working with Timelines, Inc. - a historic analysis and planning company in Massachusetts , digging, sifting, documenting and drawing. Once I graduated from college, I took a 5 week long trip across the U.S. from Maine to San Diego to Seattle and back in a 1980 Chevy S-10 that my ex boyfriend and I bought for $500. 5 week long trip to Europe. We stayed at hostels and visited London, Venice and Rome. (Venice is breath-taking) Since then I have been working at Artforms , a multi million dollar textile screenprinting company here in Maine. Last year, I got the opportunity to go to Bermuda at the company's expense to help out the boss with one of his many sailboat races. Right now I am relaxing, saving money and just spending time with my boyfriend and my cat. I am also sure to make time for visits with the family, which is now spread out through New York, Rhode Island, Mass and New Hampshire.
