Sarah's Story
Life
I grew up in the Houston area, attending school in Pasadena. I was active in church activities including singing at regional events and attending state youth conventions. I attended Anderson college for two years after graduating from high school in 1990. I then transferred to Stephen F. Austin State University, where I eventually graduated with a B.S. in psychology and a minor in special education. School
I knew lots of people by name but wasn't close to very many. It often seemed people knew who I was whether I knew them or not--I guess it's hard not to know who the blind girl is in school. I wish I had known how and tried harder to form real friendships with people; for there were plenty of people I wanted as friends.
