Sarah's Story
Life
Hi everybody! I hope everyone is doing well! Life is going pretty good for me right now. I moved to Maryland in July of 2005 and had my son in August of 2006. I am soon to be married to my wonderful fiance'. I am working full-time at Gander Mtn. You are welcome to e-mail me anytime. It would be nice to see how ya'll are doing. May God bless you all in all you do!
School
If I could do school all over again, I would have tried harder. I got bored, I didn't feel challenged enough. I didn't take it seriously after that, I just showed up and "served my time". High school was boring for me, but I did enjoy some of my teachers. I guess they are what got me through it all. I love reading and learning, but for some reason I just lost interest. High school was all about who's who and what group are were associated with. Maybe that was my problem, I was my own person and didn't see myself in any particular group. I had all sorts of friends from all groups. People liked me because I was trustworthy and friendly. They knew I wasn't out there to judge them. Dennis Spinx(sorry, been awhile...hope I spelled this right) was a great example. He didn't just talk to people in his own group, he made friends with everyone, it was people like him that made me me. High school was just high school...young people growing into adults. It's just that some of those young people handle life differently. The key is to grow out of the high school atmosphere and see where life takes you. Growing up opens your eyes to a whole new world. Just make sure to hold ...Expand for more
onto the unique parts of you that make you you.
College
My favorite class was business law...my professor was funny and kept me interested in what I was learning. You gotta take what you can from life...enjoy even the littlest of moments. Laughter can make any situation better.
Workplace
I started as a simple cashier at a known sporting goods store in 97'. By the time I left I was one of the top, most highly regarded managers at the store. My only reason for leaving was to move to Maryland to be with my fiance' and start a life together. I work at a very well know and successful sporting goods in a busy city of the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I am very highly regard here as well. I am in the running for one of the main manager positions once one becomes available. I am knowledgable of all aspects of my jobs, knowledge is power!
If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to charity, then spend the rest on my debt, son's education and a house.
I think people were suprised when I moved to Maryland of all places. I was quiet and kept to myself in high school. I have no problem speaking my mind now-a-days. I have learned that change can only happen if you start it. I wasn't impressed too much with the 5 year reuinion, so I didn't go to the 10 year reuinion because I wasn't sure what to expect. I would be driving a 9 hour drive up to Ohio and I couldn't tell if it would be worth the gas money. Maybe when the 20 year reuinion comes around I will attend. I would like to see what everyone looks like and where their lives have taken them.
