Scherlie's Story
The Faulkners (sibs: Barbara and Michael) moved to Florissant as part of the great urban migration in the 50s. But we never really left Branch Street behind...we still talk about the "old" Ames School, George from CROWNS, Mr. Bibko, Mr. Collida (my first real crush!), Dummitt's Confectionary and so many others. Graduated Ferguson High ('62).Went to Nursing school in OK ('65), joined the Navy Nurse Corps and served during VN. While stationed in Italy, met and married a Navy Chief. In between marriage and retirement, I worked at a number of jobs, including nursing. Also was a photo journalist, and in retail sales. Mostly, I was a stay-at-home Mom until the kids were in HS.
Never believing that one should ever stop learning, I am currently enrolled in a theology degree program. I may match or pass Abraham's age at his calling.
