Life
My Spouse
I met Nancee through a collectors society we both were involved in. We're actually not sure exactly when we met, but it had to be through that group. As it turns out, she and my mother both collect the same kind of china (Blue Willow pattern) and I had helped mom for years by photographing her collection and the collections of other members of the group. My photos have appeared in several books and convention catalogs and many newsletter and magazine articles. Strange how hobbies can get lives of their own, isn't it?
Anyway, Nancee and I started dating in November of 1996, got engaged in February of 1997 and were married in July of 1997.
Since I was 39 at the time, I asked during my vows "Where have you been?".
Three kids came with the package: Kevin, Mindy and Megan. I guess I got the accelerated Dad experience!
My Pets
Alejandro - the all black kitten born in our garage. Found his brother a home, but kept this one since he is a 'magic' cat with six toes on his front feet! No sixth claw on the left foot though. Knowing that, can you guess what his name will be when he grows up?
My Kids
Kevi...Expand for more
n, Mindy and Megan came into my life with Nancee. Megan lives near us and works with an interior designer here in Cincinnati. Kevin lives and works in Mansfield, Ohio where he and a friend own and operate an auto repair garage. Business is good and he is also buying, repairing and selling sports cars on line. Mindy lives in Clermont County east of Cincinnati. I've been gradually getting filled in on all the old childhood stories. Instant family!
My Job
I work for a small firm in Cincinnati. Our offices are in Mount Adams which is a fun area with lots of renovated buildings, interesting shops and restaurants. I do a lot of restaurant design and a good bit of work rehabbing older homes and buildings for various new uses. One of regular clients is Penn Station restaurants, another is Dewey's Pizza. So, follow me around and you'll eat well. We did the Christian Moerlein Lager House for the Cincinnati Riverfront.
Nancee and I are renovating a house in Newtown that was built in the mid-1800's.
We live in a "during" picture (not a "before" anymore, but still not an "after" either) getting closer though.
