Scot's Story
Life
I graduated from Phoenixville Area High in 1973 and from Penn State in 1977; I worked in warehousing, distribution and inventory management from 1978 until 2010. I'm still playing music at every opportunity, and will keep doing so as long as I'm breathing. I've worked as a session drummer in two recording studios, and sang, played guitar and drums and wrote drum programming for a local classic rock band for 22 years. Happily married with (grown) daughter, and despite the aches, pains and inconveniences that come with middle age, I still feel like a kid inside. I REFUSE to grow up.
My wife and I retired from the rat race (stress kills!) and harsh PA climate in May of 2010 and now live in west-central GA. We still have four seasons, but winter isn't spent hiding from bitter cold or shoveling snow. Life is simpler, people kinder, and Southern living suits us well. We play court sports (tennis and pickleball - google it!) nearly every day, and I formed a classic rock & blues band here, and ...Expand for more
still sing and play drums, guitar, bass and piano for creative expression.
To old (gold) friends who might try to reconnect - I'm not (and will never be) a gold member, so you'll need to email me at onemanband92255(at)comcast(dot)net with your address if you'd like a response. To those who have already sent me notes... I'd love to be able to write back. Since I spent my first dozen years in Upper Merion, I thought I'd join your community too; I have some great memories from gradeschool, and would love to hear from you too. Curiosity has prompted me to find and browse the 1973 U.M. yearbook, and it's been quite a trip "seeing" so many of you again. You can all find me on Facebook if the spirit moves you.
I have some amazing memories of all phases of my life - you might be surprised how many of you I remember, and how well, and why, and just how you've contributed to who I am today. We only go 'round once, so it's best to do it right, and to make it meaningful and real. I think I've done that.
