Scot's Story
After high school I moved to an apartment in Tarzana. Attended Pierce College, and worked at the Sheraton Universal for a while. After about six months of being poor, taking the bus to school I learned of a school in Maryland called the Harry Lundeberg School of Seamanship. After traveling back east and attending HLS I worked on a couple of merchant ships. The Overseas Chicago, then after a 6 month break to attend school at Pierce the Sealand Producer.

rp. They changed their name to Brix Maritime, and they in turn were purchased by Foss Maritime in 1994.
By that time I had been sailing as captain for about seven years.
In 1996 not liking the direction that the company was taking. I left Foss and started working for Tidewater Barge Lines, and remain there to this day sailing as captain on the tug "Hurricane".
My wife Kay and I have been married since 1983, we have 3 children. Two of them still at home.
My son Evan started his martial arts training when he was seven years old. When he turned 13 I got off my butt in the parents section and started training with him. Last year we tested for our Student Black, and look to test this year for First Degree.
