Scott's Story

Life Hmmm, okay...let's see... Life seemed to change quite radically for me almost right out of school, as some of you may recall, my Mom and Dad were hit by a car, walking on Horsemill Rd in the summer of 1980. My Mom later died from injuries sustained. Re-adjusting to this loss took quite awhile for my Dad, brother and I. I guess I lived quite the carefree bachelor life in the 80s, Started my trucking business in 85, and was gone quite alot in those days. I waited a little longer that most to get married, but finally "succumbed" in '92. My two kids were born in 95 and 96 respectively. It was idyllic for awhile like it can sometimes start, but later it all turned south, and my divorce was final in 05. So, starting over my life in my mid forties was not in the grand scheme of things, but then, we have to deal with the hand we are dealt, or so it is said. I am in that small group of us crazies that are still here on "the island", and my two kids are in the GI School System. I still enjoy playing with my old cars, and still have my Red 61 T ...Expand for more
Bird Convt that I bought on Homecoming night in our Senior Year. Also quite the avid boater, and have been almost non stop since the mid 70s, and keep my Chris Craft at Ford Yacht Club, in the five or ten nice boating days we get here in the summer!! (haha) I even play with my two motorcycles on occasion, (but not at the same time!!) All in all, life is good, ---it is a challenge, but then no one promised it all to be peaches n cream, right?? Workplace gee...I remember my first "real" job....Ernie Theo got me in at Island Shell, around 77... we became quite a duo..... when the prettiest girls came in, we always went the extra mile for them!!! Drove big trucks for a few yrs after graduation, and finally formed my own company in 85, and stayed in business til 99. Had a great run, but many factors.... led me to sell it all. hmmm...now since 01, I work for a local construction co, still driving....but have all new equipment, and get to have all the fun without all the headaches of ownership, and maintenance, and dealing with the IRS haha!!!!
