Scott's Story
From Eden Prairie MN to Montana State University and finally on to San Jose State University where I Graduated with a degree in Physical Education. On to do work as a Medical Representative.
Met my wife in Los Gatos, California on a blind date of all things. Yes they really do work. Moved to Houston, Texas where she did her P.Assistant work. I picked up a job as a hockey director which is kind of ironic given Baylor College of Medicine is one of the largest medical centers in the world. Great times living in a postage stamp apartment and living on chips, stag chili, and salsa.
Back to the Bay Area (San Jose) after her graduation where I started my work as a Personal Trainer. Trained the business elite of Menlo Park, Ca. Stanford Grads, V.C.'s, and CEO's. Started giving back by Chairing Charity golf tournaments benefiting special needs children.
Eventually moved to Folsom, California and transitioned into Commercial Real Estate. My Grandfather is my inspiration. He and George Carte...Expand for more
r formed Carter and Gertz in the early 70's and developed the portion of Eden Prairie known as the Preserve. They were ahead of their time.
Ski the Sierra Mountains every year, Road bike year round and still play hockey on Wednesday nights with a good friend who was a trainer for the San Jose Sharks.
Our son is 2 1/2 now and non stop action. He gives me a depth of joy I have never experienced anywhere else.
Have family still in E.P. and the surrounding area. Kevin and Kristen Bowman. My father Randy and Step mother Bobbi Bowman. All my Uncles, John, Tom, Tim Gertz. John works with the City of Eden Prairie. If you go into Dunn Bros. for a coffee take a good look around he was in charge of all the historical restoration work you see and my uncle Tom owns Midwest Aqua Care.
I still tell stories to my wife about growing up in such an amazing place. It's very dream like to go back to being a kid in E.P. running through the woods and criss-crossing the neighborhoods to see friends.
