Scott's Story

Life Spent 14 years in the Navy most of it on submarines. Since departing from the Navy I have been enjoying working at the Intel plant in Hudson MA. Since High School I have lived in Illinois, Connecticut (3 times), Washington (3 times), Florida (2 times), Georgia (4 times), Virginia, New Mexico and now back in Massachusetts. During high school my family took a journey across country. I bumped into Cindy A along the way. While staying at a KAO in Wyoming I met Ruth, she was traveling cross country as well. Over the years we kept in contact and eventually got together again. We started dating and 3 years later married. Unfortunately the marriage dissolved and we went our separate ways. Shortly there after I moved to Seattle. While living in Seattle, I met Loren (who was back in MA) in an AOL chat room while I was standing watch on the sub, (some security ha) in 1995. When I moved back to Connecticut 1996, I guess it could be called a blind date; we met at the former Pizzeria Uno in Marlboro. We have been together since. Loren and I married on July 13th 2004 in Antigua. (Nice) I think it was 2004, if she reads this I will know one way or the other. Just kidding I know it was 2004. Kevin who will be going into his Jr year is a great kid. Oh, he is starting to drive, which is extremely nerve racking. Summer 2005 he spent 20 days down under with the People to People Student Ambassador program, while we sat on a beach in South Carolina. Recently Kevin was awarded first place in a regional art contest. His work was displayed at a Boston Museum. Rae who just turned two is a quite handful who gets into everything. Hobbies/Interests Still playing ice hockey and roller hockey, though a little slower the enjoyment is still there. Mountain biking, roller blading, jet skiing, snowboarding and home theater takes up most of my other free tim...Expand for more
e. Summer time interests include seeing Jimmy Buffett concerts, and screaming across the water at 60+ MPH where only a bit of luck seperates me and disaster. It's not being thrown off the jetski and skipping across the water that hurts, it's when I finally stop, regain some sort of composure and begin pulling the embedded the fish scales out of the exposed body parts that really hurts. (good times) Winter 2007 is setting up to meet one of my dream vacations. I will be on a paid sabbatical (nice perk) for 11 weeks where I am planning on visiting, Nashville, Dallas, Colorado, San Jose, Anaheim, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Minnesota, Detroit and Buffalo to catch a few NHL Games and possibly a couple of football games. Cities I have seen NHL Games; Montreal, Washington DC, Tampa, Phoenix, Vancouver, San Jose, Hartford, and of course Boston. Things have been pretty darn good, few bumps in the road but they have made the good times that much better. I feel very fortunate in sharing so many great life experiences with so many people in so many places. Scariest moment: first time I was at the top of the mountain with a snow board attached to my body. Funniest moment: saying don't touch anything, coming back to the car seeing someone sucking their thumb. They played with the cigarette lighter and had the rings to prove it. Oddest moment: Waking up and realizing I had no idea where my car was parked, in Seattle. It took 3 days to find it. Most memorable song: Billy Squire "The Stroke" that song brings back many good and funny memories. So many good times to remember. Workplace Work is my multimillion dollar playground where they pay me to have fun. 2009 Update: Kevin is now a freshman in college and Rae is 5. Loren and I both transitioned into new jobs last year. I decided to leave Intel for an exciting opportunity at Evergreen Solar.
