Scott Dowty:  

College After graduating from Somerset High School in 1971, I went to Lowell State College to study both instrumental and vocal music in a 5 year program there. After my 4th year, I was recruited to join the international touring group, Up With People during America's Bi-Centennial year (1975-1976) and toured and performed with them across the USA. I finished with the University of Lowell in 1977 and became the Director of Music in Somersworth, NH until the summer of 1980. I was then fortunate to be selected for Navigator training in the USAF and after Officer Training School, was commissioned as a 2d LT in February 1981 and spent the next year in flight school. I began my flying career with the USAF in B-52s in Michigan, followed on with FB-111s out of New York and New Hampshire and then B-1 bombers in Texas and South Dakota.
