Life
Okay - my life in 2000 characters or less! Here goes.... not that life started in 1976 ~ but that is when I left the Bay Area. I visit now & again but am loving life here in Alaska where I've been since 1979.
After high school, a good friend of mine (Pete Hoppenbrouwers) and I worked in Oregon for 1 1/2 yrs. to save for a hitchhiking trip through Europe in 1976. Then settled in Eugene, OR from 1976 - 1979. I moved to Alaska on a promotion to manage a Record & Tape Store (Odyssey). My girlfriend from Oregon (Brenda) soon followed. We married ~ divorced in 86 (no children). The corporation went belly up ~ took my severance pay and invested in a gold claim ~ worked it for three years in between my job as a laborer for the school district here. Sold the claim and bought a house here in Anchorage. I married again to my beautiful...Expand for more
wife Linda, and her 8 yr. old daughter (at the time). We had a baby boy in 1990; Nevin who is now almost 15! I lost my beloved wife in a fatal car accident in 2000 and am presently a 'single dad'. I bought a bldg. maint. company in 1985 and presently run a crew of 12 great employees serving many businesses in the Anchorage area. I work full time for the Anchorage School District as a Bldg. Plant Operator and am also the Bldg. Computer & Network Support Tech. I'd love to hear from any of you whose paths we've crossed! Hope this finds you well and happy ~

UPDATE 2009....sold my business and changed positions with the school district. Working now as a Computer Support Tech and lovin' it. Just bought a small cabin off the Matanuska River which ultimately will become my retirement digs ;-) Life is good, wishing you the same... ciao
