Military
I joined the Texas Army National Guard at 17, in 1988. I went to Ft. Leonardwood Missouri for Basic Training, finished High School then June of '89 went to Fort Gordon Georgia for 6 months of Tech School. Spent 3 years woth the HHC 136th Sig Bn then 1 year with the 2nd 142 Infantry out of Amarillo Texas. After a 5 year break in service I joined the Air Force Reserves in 1998. avis AFB, CA Oct of 2000. I cross trained into Aeromedical. I worked full time with the 349th MDS and the 60th MDG at David Grant Medical Facility until Dec 9, 2002. I got out of the Reserves on the 9th and swore in with the Active Duty Air Force on the 10th of Dec, 2002. My first "Active" duty station is Vandenberg AFB, CA, located on the Central Coast of California. I am under the Space and Missle Command. I now have 5 years, (had 8 years in the Guard/Reserves) which was converted to 4.5 years of Active service. 2003.
