Scott's Story
From Ingraham H.S., I went North and, after 6 years, was released for good behavior from Western Washington University with degree in broadcasting( journalism minor). Got married ('70 grad Laurie Higgins). Got a job in Anacortes, WA (news director for a small radio station). Left to work on Congressman Al Swift's first campaign and changed careers (8-1/2 years in DC). Went to law school (Georgetown, nights while working for Swift) and, after graduating, Laurie & I moved coast-to-coast three times in four years - DC to Northern California ('87), back to DC ('89), to Southern Cal ('91). merger took us back to the East Coast in 2002 (Valley Forge, just outside Philadelphia). I was happily retired (2014-2020) doing volunteer, charitable work until UMC bishop assigned me as lead pastor (part-time) to a small country church (2 years & counting). .
For all but the first move, we hauled one or more horses cross-country. We're now settled with barn & 3+ acres of pasture, where Laurie cares for horses and I look for reasons to buy power tools (to help with farm work, really). Both kids are now out of college (son-Drexel, Philly PA, computer game design & daughter-Hollins, Roanoke VA) and finding careers (Seattle-area game company & self-employed horse training, respectively).
