Scott's Story
Life
Married Susan Peterson from Bethesda MD in 1972. We have 2 sons - Todd Justin, born in 11/77 and Brian Scott born in 10/79. Todd married Kimberly Snyder in Nags Head, NC on 4/26/08 and working for ACAC Wellness & Fitness Center in Midlothian, VA. He and Kim had Lucy Kate Miller on 10/15/09; Allie Marie Miller was born on 12/17/12. Brian married Freedom Evans in Palm Bay, FL on 5/19/01 and brightened our lives with Emma Brooke Miller, born 8/6/03, Trenton Brian Miller on 3/20/06 and Peyton Brent Miller on 12/22/07. Brian is a Membership Representative at ACAC fitness center.. Our family dog is named Mauki but he passed away in July 2012 at the age of 16. I (we after 1972) lived in DC area 1971-87; Richmond since then. I enjoy singing in a barbershop chorus, a barbershop quartet, reading, cooking, playing on the computer, genealogy, and nature. We are both retired and getting to spend time with our 5 grandchildren whenever we can.

Attended York Jr. College 1966-68 and transferred to Temple U. from 68-70. B.A. in Psychology. Went to The American University 1975-77; earned M.Ed. in Counseling.

ecame Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with VA Dept. of Rehabilitative Services (DRS) in Richmond. Did some part-time typing and editing for local publisher for 10 years to supplement income to send the boys to VA Commonwealth University. Retired from DRS as of 2/1/2012.
Military
Enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1970 and experienced Boot Camp at Great Lakes NTC from October to December 1970. I returned from January to May 1971 to complete Hospital Corps School and then was assigned to Bethesda Naval Hospital for Psychiatric Technician School. For the first couple of months I was fortunate to be sharing duty stations with my dad, Henry W. Miller, CAPT, MC, USNR but he became ill and retired in February 1972.
I graduated from Psych Tech School in August 1971 and worked on the Officer and Dependent floor 7F for the first year and then moved to the Psych Clerical Office for about 2 more years. I had a brief stint in the Psychology Dept. before my 4 year enlistment was completed. Transition from Navy life to civilian life was easy...I moved back into the Psych Clerical Office as a civilian and worked another year and a half until graduate school began at The American University. Go Navy.
