Scott's Story
Life
After BHS, I enrolled at Mississippi College where I earned a BA in chemistry with a minor in French. After a year of working as a chemist with the Army Corps of Engineers in Vicksburg, Mississippi, I returned to academia to pursue a doctorate in the Louisiana State University Department of Chemistry. I received a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry in August, 2000. Research Laboratory at Hanscom AFB just outside of Boston, MA. From there I moved to the Washington DC area to take a research position with the Navy, which I held until the end of 2004. The beginning of 2005 brought me back to the south... in Huntsville, AL. I have taken a position as a researcher and program manager with Qualis Corporation working at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. I got married in 2002 and welcomed a baby girl in 2006.
