Scott's Story
Life
Following graduation from GHS, I went to college at UW Madison. After two not-so-successful years there, I enlisted in the US Army for 4 years. I was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division in the infantry. After that, I returned home, got an Associate's Degree in Police Science, and attended the police academy in Oak Creek, WI. I immediately was hired part-time with the Fredonia Marshal's Office, and later full-time with the Washington County Sheriff's Department, West Bend, WI. Got married in May 2000, and had a son in June 2001. Still going strong, and even returned to college in 2003. Now attending Marian College in Fond du Lac, WI, seeking my Bachelor's in Administration of Justice. (Updated 02-07-07)
School
After GHS, I went to UW Madison for 2 years. I lived in the dorms, held part-time jobs at McDonald's and security work. After that, I did a 4 year stint in the Army, and after returning home, I enrolled at Milwaukee Area Technical College. I graduated with a 3.96 GPA, and went on to MATC's police academy in Oak Creek. Graduated 2nd in my class there, and got hired by the Fredonia Marshal's Office, and later the Washington County Sheriff's Department. I have just completed (June 2007) working on my bachelor's in Administration of Justice at Marian College in Fond du Lac, WI. I receive my degree in October, and have attained a 4.0 GPA. Thanks for the support everyone!

. I have been there since June 1998. I am a field-training officer for the department as well as an assistant firearms instructor. I assist with the modification and further development of our department's firearms program. Additionally, I still work part-time for the Fredonia Marshal's Office, Fredonia, WI, where I began in November 1997. (Updated 02-07-07)
Military
I enlisted in the US Army in December 1990, hoping to take part in Desert Shield. Although I had enlisted, it was too late, and the war was over before I was completed with my training. I shipped off to Ft. Benning, GA, the day after Christmas, 1990, to start basic training. Having selected the infantry, I also had AIT (Advanced Individual Training) there, too. I became an '11 Hotel', or TOW Missile Operator (aka Anti-Tank Specialist). I then went across post to attend Airborne School. After 5 successful jumps from a C-130 Hercules, I had earned my jump wings, proudly pinned INTO my chest. Great day! I finally was ready to join my unit, and was assigned to Delta Company, 1/325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, Ft. Bragg, NC. Upon arrival, my unit was still deployed to the Gulf, and on their way back. I served four years in the division, mostly as the company armorer and driver for either the First Sergeant or Executive Officer. My most memorable experience was taking part in the D-Day Commemoration Ceremonies in France, 1994. I was one of a select few picked to represent the Division, and literally got to jump into St. Mere Eglise on June 6th, 1994, 50 years after the initial invasion. I was honored and humbled. I separated from active duty in April 1995, returning home to Milwaukee, WI. (Updated 02-07-07)
