4. After Infantry school at Fort Benning, Ga. I was stationed in Wurtzburg, Germany for 2 years(3rd ID). I spent my next 2 yrs at Ft Campell KY.(86-88) 1/502, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), where I graduated Air Assault School, Sniper School, was promoted to Sgt and met my wife. I then returned to Germany in the summer of 1988 where I was stationed in Ulm. Shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall I spent some time in Southwest Asia (Desert Storm). After helping liberate Kuwait and a brief return to Germany, I was reassigned to Ft. Carson Co. where I finished my time in service. I came back home to WV in Dec 1991. I drove a semi-truck cross-country for several years until shortly after my sons birth in December 1993, delivered pianos for the Pied Piper until their stores started folding, at which time I had to bail (the captain goes down alone). Finally in 2001 I started working for my current employer, the VA Medical Center.".
