Scott's Story
Life
Moved to New Mexico in 1994 and now live in an old adobe farmhouse in a small farming village on the north side of Albuquerque with my partner Wes. Daily enjoying the view of the Sandia Mountains to the east and the amazing southwest sunsets.
I haven't done much singing or acting for several years, though I still love the arts. Present activities include (never-ending!) home renovation, long walks with the dog (a Jack Russell Terrier named Flapjack), attending church at St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal, icon-writing, surfing the Internet, dining out & enjoying time with friends. Oh, yeah, and working way too much.
Recently visited old Wash, PA in May 2007. Seems like alot has changed there, at least on the surface. Hope my classmates are living the good life!!
School
My clearest memory of high school was how much I wanted to finish & leave Wash., PA behind! Pretty ironic that I then stayed in Washington for a year past graduation before going off to college at Penn State's University Park.
At THS, I recall many hours practicing piano in the music department's practice rooms, as well as accompanying endless chorales and...Expand for more
soloists. Also, the great fun I had with other theater folks during the many productions we mounted. Mr. Garda and Mrs. Carnahan were my favorite teachers, because they provided the framework of the theater department, which became about the only thing other than my friends I liked about high school.
Most especially I remember the few good & true friends I had during my high school years - you know who you are! My friend who was like the quadratic equation, my girfriend who was on my mind when I sang my senior solo, and the few nervous & closeted gay/lesbian fellow students that shared a secret circle with me. To the friends I kept my secret from - sorry! It was a confusing time for me.
Workplace
Have really enjoyed working - pretty sick, huh? After leaving Washington, I've worked as a admissions clerk for West Virginia University Hospital, managed a retail pet store, worked for a stock transfer subsidiary of Mellon Bank Corporation, was a computer tech for a western banking mainframe, and since 1997 have been an administrative director of a non-profit social work/home health agency in Albuquerque.
